High Net Worth Investor

You have, throughout the financial year preceding today's date, an annual income to the value of £100,000 or more, or hold net assets of at least £250,000.

Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor

A self-certified investor who has worked in a professional capacity in the private equity sector, or in the provision of finance for small and medium enterprises, in the last two years; or
been the director of a company with an annual turnover of at least £1 million, in the last two years; or
made two or more investments in an unlisted company in the last two years prior to today’s date; or
been a member of a network or syndicate of business angels for more than six months, and are still a member.

Certified Sophisticated Investor

You have a written certificate signed within the last 36 months by a firm confirming you have been assessed as sufficiently knowledgeable to understand the risks associated with engaging in investment activity in Speculative Illiquid Securities, and have signed, within the past 12 months from today’s date that statement.

2.What lending investment experience do you have in short term bridging loans secured over property and/or loans secured over property viacrowdfunding/P2P platforms?

3.In relation to investing in loans secured over property, how many loans/investments have you made?

4.How well do you understand the structure of Somo loans/investments? Please select which statement you feel is most appropriate:

My loan agreement is with Somo. It is an unsecured loan with the benefit of a trust arrangement, which holds the legal mortgages secured over the property with the borrower on behalf of me as a beneficiary. If Somo were to stop trading or become insolvent, then these security interests are ring fenced from the Somo insolvency. The liquidator or administrator should be obliged to recognise the trust arrangements and use the property in trust to return capital and interest to the relevant Lenders (and not apply these assets towards Somo’s creditors generally).

My loan agreement is directly with the borrower, and as a result, I have a direct contractual relationship with the borrower. I own part of the legal mortgage used a security. In the event of Somo’s insolvency, I would be able to pursue the borrower directly.
